RE : BCBP CALAMITY FUND — TYPHOON GENER

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

Greetings of Peace!

The heavy rains brought by typhoon “Gener” and by the monsoon rains thereafter have displaced a lot of people, so many of whom have lost homes and properties. This latest calamity that affected most parts of Central Luzon, Metro Manila, Laguna and some parts of South Luzon has caused misery to people living in these areas. Some of them are our very own BCBP brothers and sisters.

Thus, we are appealing to your generous hearts to extend a helping hand to our brothers and sisters living in the areas severely affected by this disaster.

Financial and material donations can be sent directly to the local BCBP Chapter in or near the calamity area. Said BCBP Chapter must be ready and accountable for the proper receipt and timely distribution of needed assistance to the critically affected families, both BCBP and non-BCBP members — as part of BCBP’s social action and service. Unused donations/ funds must be remitted to the BCBP National Office. The RCD and AMD involved must closely monitor chapter involvement and require reports on calamity assistance programs.

As a general and open alternative, donations can be sent to the BCBP Calamity Fund / National Office, with the following bank details:

Bank Account Name: BCBP NATIONAL
Bank Account Number: BPI Current Account # 3561-0451-93
Bank Branch: BPI Buendia-Pasong Tamo Makati

We also ask for the community’s prayers for all our members and their families who have been displaced by calamities.

God bless us all,

Bert Masiclat
NSC Programs & Services

Manny Jimenez
BCBP National President
