BCBP CEBU NORTHEAST LAUNCHES GUADALUPE MISSION
By Sister Chato Dejaresco Araneta
The Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals BCBP Cebu Northeast Chapter formally launched its Guadalupe Mission last Saturday, March 7 at the AA Barbecue Grill Restaurant.
Highlight of the affair was the first Breakfast Fellowship Meeting of the Guadalupe Mission, which is the BCBP community’s main activity every Saturday morning in all its different chapters nationwide.
The main sharer during the Breakfast Fellowship was couple Marc and K Rivera, one of the Unit leaders of Cebu Northeast chapter. It was a delight to welcome 8 new breakfasters that morning.

Special guests during the launching were BCBP Cebu Area Managing Director Ani Serrato and wife Tess, Regional Council Director (Central Cebu Region) Mario Siao and wife Emma.
Likewise lending color to the event was the presence of 2 priests from the Team of Pastors of the Guadalupe Parish namely Fr. Aloysius Alojipan, Team Coordinator and Fr. Eli Suico. Fr. Ramon Ofredo, member of BCBP Northeast chapter blessed the venue after which a short program followed.

Cebu Northeast Chapter Head Brother Ed Shan welcomed the guests and related briefly how after discernment and prayers Guadalupe became the choice for the Northeast mission. First: Guadalupe is the largest barangay in Cebu City with 60,000 residents. Second: It’s commercial growth has been fast as evidenced by the sprouting of commercial buildings and condominiums within the area. Third: the thriving businesses related to the mango industry with Guadalupe as the main source of mangoes ever since whether for export or for local consumption. And fourth: the religiosity of the people which can be gleaned from the existence of two big parishes within the area namely the Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish and the Alliance of Two Hearts Parish in nearby Banawa area.
Brother Ed closed his message with a happy note carrying the jubilant sentiment of the Northeast chapter in praise to God for His grace that enabled it to embark on this mission even barely having reached its third year of existence as a chapter!

Inspirational messages then followed from AMD Brother Ani Serrato and RCD Brother Mario Siao.

The Guadalupe Mission Team is composed of servant leaders from the BCBP CEBU NORTHEAST Chapter headed by Mission Director Brother Sander and Sis Mai Ugalino and Mission Coordinator Brother Paeng and Sis Kathy Castellano.
