BCBP President Manuel Lino Jimenez led the assembly in the afternoon of Friday, April 25, with the worship theme “Thanksgiving.” Some members expressed the Holy Spirit’s leading during the worship. The traditional pray-over of the attendees in small groups was really spirit-led. The seating arrangement was such that the members were able to mingle with those coming from other chapters.
President Manny also announced the new members of the Board of Trustees who will take over the incumbent in 2015.
Representing Luzon: Joffe Almoro, Bert Masiclat & Willy Simbul
Representing Visayas: Doy Andrada, Rey Garcia & Al-Al Uy
Representing Mindanao: Ed Baron, Hansel Magno & Bong Pelaez
Representing Metro Manila: Joey Avellana, Roy Calleja & Jun Obra
The Grand Breakfast on April 26 featured the powerhouse sharing of BCBP Founder and Spiritual Director, Fr. Herb Schneider on the high points of his relationship with his Friend. Complementing Fr. Herb’s “revelations” were the testimonies of Judge Gilbert Moises of Cebu, who also sits as the Programs & Services Director of his chapter, and Zamboanga del Norte Governor Roberto Uy of Dipolog Chapter. They are shining models of the triumph of faith over the evil ways in their professions and inspired everyone with their steadfast resolve to face the challenges of being BCBP brothers in the government and public service.
The senior leaders of the BCBP gathered after the Breakfast for a luncheon meeting headed by Francis Mapile, Director for Women, Youth, Seniors, Singles (WYSS).
All the BCBP members came together in the afternoon for the Eucharistic celebration. Before the start of the mass there was a light short tremor which those who felt it related it as similar to what the disciples experienced in Acts 4:29-31, and was proof of the Holy Spirit’s presence during the BCBP’s weekend celebration.
The fellowship after the dinner included a medley of songs performed by the Mancom-BOT couples, a raffle of prizes and dancing.
We congratulate and thank Gensan Chapter for hosting the NAC 34 with Chapter Head and NAC 34 Chairman Danny Hamoy as lead person for the celebration. –Edel Mapile, BCBP Manila
