“But you are the chosen race, the King’s priests, the holy nation, God’s own people, chosen to proclaim the wonderful acts of God, who called you out of darkness into his own marvelous light” — 1 Peter 2:9

As a new decade is ushered, BCBP Manila joyfully welcomed its 6th chapter head, Bro. Joey and Sis.Vina De Jesus.

BCBP National President, Bro. Joffe Almoro and wife, Sis. May Almoro, led the installation rites last December 14, 2019, in a simple 2-in-1 celebration coinciding with the chapter’s Christmas Party at The Bayview Park Hotel Manila, BCBP Manila’s breakfast venue for the past year.

Outgoing Chapter Head Bro. Bong San Agustin expressed his gratitude for the almost six years of dedicated leadership which saw the chapter flourish in membership.

Bro. Joffe Almoro read the Chapter Head’s appointment letter to Bro. Joey, with his wife Sis. Vina by his side.  Then outgoing Chapter Head Bro. Bong handed the chapter banner and manuals to symbolize the change in leadership.

Thereafter, Area Managing Director for Metro Manila, Bro. Pancho Jamlig and Regional Council Director Bro. Jojo Pabalan proceeded with the installation rites of Bro. Joey and Sis. Vina  together with BCBP Manila’s Governance Team, namely, Bro. Edward and Sis. Helen Kilakiga as Mission Director; Bro. Allwin Wagan as Programs and Services Director; Bro. John Trocio as Formation Director; Bro. Bong and Sis. Bing Rivera as Family Life Director; Bro. Bong and Sis. Jes San Agustin as Unit Leader 1; Bro. Gary and Sis. Marie Casanova as Unit Leader 2; and Sis. Cho Calseña as Chapter Treasurer.

The BCBP Manila members were indeed blessed that night, as National President and his wife gifted  with a special number.

Bro. Serge and Sis. Paching De la Fuente, Bro. Jun and Sis. Mina Obra, Bro. Frank Khouri, Bro. Jerry and Sis. Amy Macarana, Bro. Jhun Abbot — all senior leaders of the BCBP were there to join BCBP Manila members and guests in celebrating the event.

After dinner, a simple Christmas celebration and fellowship followed, highlighted by the presentation of Fishers of Men awards to the chapter’s active members.
