They had their Breakfast in Bogo with Cebu Central CH Ani and Maritess Serrato as sharers. After the breakfast the group together with Bogo leaders had a tour of Bogo and its neighbor town, Medellin. Among those they visited are the BOMEDCO Sugar Central at Medellin and the Parish church of the famous and miraculous Our Lady of Remedy at Odlot, Bogo City.
From their tour, the group had lunch at a fast food resto and had their meeting there. They discussed, among others, the August 30 “Revelation” which is a Cebu region activity. Cebu chapters also pledge to support Bogo with breakfast sharers and resource speakers.
We have been on our toes for the past weeks preparing for two big events.
Jun sits as one of the steering committee members of his batch’s homecoming and reun-ion scheduled on July 13-14, 2014. I on the other hand is working with my sisters preparing for our family reunion on July 18-20, 2014.
Pressures are high as the dates of these big events get closer. My daughter who sourced and designed all the T-shirts, banners and other giveaways is the busiest among us.
While going through all the preparations I came to reflect on a homecoming that I must prepare very well, my heavenly homecoming.
Often times we lose sight of the heavenly as we get tangled with earthly concerns. I praise God that He grounded our faith deeply.
Services in the community and parish remind us of God’s ever loving presence as we depend always on His grace to sustain us physically, emotionally and financially.
We too are very grateful for the gift of the Eucharist, which we partake each day, as our food for the journey to our final homecoming.
