February 3, 2012 is a very special day for BCBP Cebu Region. Two special events took place in the evening of that day at Sacred Heart Center, Cebu City. It was the Recommitment of all members and the installation of Cebu Leaders including the new Area Managing Director for Visayas .
The installation rites started at 6pm with BCBP National President Manny Jimenez giving his message of inspiration to the new leaders at the same time thanking the past leaders for the service rendered.
Brother Manny exhorted the leaders to “Look at the past without regrets. Look to the present with confidence. And look to the future with trust in the Lord.”
The new installed servant leaders are:
Nelson Dauz – Area Managing Director for Visayas, Boy Villanueva—Regional Council Director for Cebu and the six new Chapter Heads including our very own Guy and Eden Ceniza.
Right after the installation of the Chapter Heads the goverance team of the six chapters were introduced and together they pledged their service commitment. This was followed by the Renewal of Commitment of all members present. Past President Larry Veloso closed the activity with a prayer while exhorting the new leaders to “Surrender and give your all so that you can give your service beyond your imagination.”
From the Sacred Heart Center the whole congregation of brothers and sisters transferred to the Sacred Heart church to celebrate the Holy Eucharist. Bishop Jose S. Palma was the main celebrant with four BCBP priests concele-brating with Him including our very own Fr. Martin. Bishop Palma in his homily said: “Teach and witness. Every office is God’s sacred entrustment to us. Love is an important ingredient that we put in our service.”
