Mini Sharing during NAC37
I have been in business for almost 12 years. We are the distributor of Bounty Fresh chicken covering the provinces of Sorsogon and Masbate. We are also the distributor of CDO food products covering the provinces of Sorsogon, Albay, Masbate and Catanduanes. I can say that we have made it good in business. In my solitude I often ask God why He has given me so much blessings. The answer came in 2011 when we joined the BCBP.
I have realized that what I have achieved in life is not of my own doing but because of God’s wonderful grace. I consider it a personal victory, too, because I have become a better father to my children and a better boss to my employees. We have made sure that all our employees get the required salary and benefits due to them. We even extend help beyond what is expected of us. When we joined the BCBP we made sure that we pay the right taxes for our businesses. We conduct our business with utmost integrity and honesty that is expected of us as members of this community.
Despite the challenges we face in our business such as the emergence of new competitors, the lure to earn more and more, and the temptation to cling to material things, I have learned to put everything in the hands of the Lord. I always surrender my fears, my worries and my anxieties that come with doing business to Him.
I have learned to be more trusting in the Lord’s goodness and mercy. After all, we are only stewards of all the things that He has entrusted to us.
We have become change agents in our community and society by showing that we can do business without sacrificing and compromising our values, ethics and morals.
In closing I would like to end with the victory we all shared last Sunday. It is the Resurrection Victory of our Lord Jesus Christ against sin and death itself. To God be the glory!
