The September issue of the BCBP’s national magazine, published quarterly, features an eclectic selection of articles ranging from information on the evils of the Reproductive Health Bill No. 5043 in Bobby Atendido’s column to an update on the BCBP’s Community Portal.
Of special interest to the BCBP community is an overview of the Revised Community Manual that was rolled out to BCBP’s national leaders during their National Leaders Retreat, NLR, last September during the hard-to-forget Ondoy weekend. In his column BCBP President Larry Veloso shares his insights on the NLR, the Community Manual, and the revised Breakfast Manual.
You will enjoy Rusela Rubin’s interview with our Be Honest Oratorical Contest national winner Abby Niles Cuenco and his parents to find out how the Be Honest contest impacted their lives. Annie Salvador shares with us the experience of Laoag Outreach’s building their own BCBP library, while Ronnie Caballero reveals the difference between Christ-like meekness and the ‘bahala na’ attitude.
Kapatiran editor Nancy Catan in her Back to Basics article points out that Christian life is really a matter of the heart. Her article compares our physical heart with our Christian heart.
The issue also contains an updated listing of all the BCBP breakfasts nationwide, their venues and contact persons.
In addition to the printed copies of the Kapatiran that are distributed to all chapters, the issue is posted on the BCBP Community Portal in readable and downloadable format. Just click on KAPATIRAN on the Navigation Bar. Have an enjoyable read!
