The Silay Chapter of the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP) literally puts out a strong statement in the city center on the community’s Be HONEST advocacy via the Tapatan Ng Tapat campaign. The chapter mounted a billboard in front of Silay Church trumpeting BCBP’s call to everyone to be “TAPAT dapat” and “Be HONEST”. The chapter even planned to have a simple unveiling ceremony but later decided to cancel due to the current surge of COVID-19 cases and policy restrictions.

Immediately after the launch, the outgoing and incoming heads of the chapter, Renato Osamen and Glen Rojo, respectively, and their governance team, met virtually to discuss ways by which they can support and amplify the campaign not only among members but to fellow Silaynons and the public as well.
“We were motivated and inspired by the talk of Bishop Pablo David during our Grand Global Breakfast last January 15. As a BCBP member, we have an obligation to make the public aware of our campaign and present the current situation of our country in this time when honesty and integrity are highly called for,” said Renato Ofamen, outgoing head of Silay Chapter.

Members of the chapter also showed their support to the community advocacy by changing their Facebook profiles to reflect the “TAPAT dapat” campaign brand. What else is in the pipeline? Silay Chapter plans to set up another billboard in Bago City Cathedral Church, south of Negros Occidental, and produce campaign leaflets for distribution to the public.
Kudos and big clap to Silay Chapter for the bold and agile response to amplify our BE HONEST advocacy!
