As I think about ‘the few good men’ out there, I want to dedicate this article to honor the man in my life. Since it is father’s day(month), I just want to give honor to the most wonderful person in my life . . .my husband and friend NOEL, one of the few really good men. After 14 years of marital bliss, with some problems and arguments on the side, I can say that I’m so blessed to find a wonderful person to spend the rest of my life with.
Thirteen years in the community has given me the chance to appreciate the beauty of life. I see God’s blessings in everything that happens to me. The old me was a worrier and a complainer. Now, I can’t help but thank God for the numerous blessings I receive each day.
The old me would always complain about my husband, his badminton nights, camera clubs every 1st Sunday of the month, his work and the never ending activities in the community. I felt that he didn’t have time for me anymore. He had all the time for the other “things in his life” but not me.
One time after an argument(which I often start), I cried and pour my heart out to God. I heard these words from the LORD, “You are so blessed my child, you married a good man. A man who has the time to serve me. Instead of complaining, ask yourself, how can I help him?” I was dumbfounded. I couldn’t believe that the Lord would take his side. But as I reflected on that message from the Lord, I realized that he was right after all.
There are only a “few good men” nowadays. But I will forever be thankful to God for I found one from those FEW. He is really a rare and precious find. To the most wonderful man in my life . . . my friend and partner NOEL . Happy Father’s Day!
To all the GOOD MEN OUT THERE, HAPPY FATHER’S DAY everyone!
