BCBP ZAMBOANGA CHAPTER CELEBRATES 15TH ANNIVERSARY

May 31, 2014 marked the 15th year Chapter Anniversary Celebration of the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP), Zamboanga Chapter. With the affair’s Hawaiian motif, every member present, including guests from other chapters/outreaches enjoyed the occasion while sporting their own fashion trend that day during the program by the poolside of Lantaka Hotel, after a thanksgiving mass at 5:30 pm, officiated by Fr. Filmore Calibo. A sumptuous dinner followed the mass and was succeeded by the short program.
The occasion was graced by BCBP National President Manny Jimenez with his wife Sister Reggie Jimenez, who were the honored sharers as well during the Grand Breakfast Fellowship held at the same hotel, at 7:00 am to 9:30 am, same day.
A number of guests came from as far away as Kapatagan, Lanao, Pagadian, Dipolog, and Oroquieta Chapters and Ipil outreach. They graced the occasion and held their Grand Sectoral Meeting, too, after the breakfast…and stayed till the Grand Dinner Fellowship.
It was a celebration noteworthy of appreciation from the National President Manny Jimenez, who commended the Zamboanga Chapter for the success of the affair and the hospitality shown the guests in attendance.
Here are excerpts from President Manny Jimenez’ inspirational message that outlines the expectations manifest in all its members:
“Thank you, Lord, for giving us the grace to open our hearts to You and for accepting and loving us without condition. We are truly grateful. I have always said: …a grateful heart is a generous heart. We thank The Lord for the missionaries who opened this mission 15 yrs ago…to the outreach and chapter heads, leaders and all those who nurtured, pruned and watered the vine and her branches to grow into what it is today.
Every anniversary reminds us of happy events in our lives as these remind us of the love of The Lord. In our sad experiences we see the hand of God in not allowing us to suffer more than what we can bear and give us our valuable lessons in life. We must always be grateful for all these events in our life.
As we express our gratefulness, let us all be reminded that the highest appreciation we can show is not just to say: thank you Lord, but to live out the WAY OF LIFE that He has shown us in the BCBP, and sharing this WAY OF LIFE with others in the marketplace, in our FAMILY, IN OUR WORKPLACES and our BUSINESSES and in the practice of our PROFESSIONS and with every person we encounter each day.
We pray for the wonderful gift of a grateful heart, a heart always ready to praise and serve the Lord and thank Him for the unconditional love and abundance He has provided for all of us. We pray that Zamboanga Chapter will continue to be the salt and light of the life in Christ in this area. To illuminate the hearts of men to the way of life in Christ… to be the inspiration for the life of love of God and service to our fellow men ….and BCBP to be the initiator, the help, the coach and resource to this life in Christ.
The Lord said: GO…I AM WITH YOU… OUR RESPONSE: — in boldness, we go to –CHANGE THE FACE OF BUSINESS ….WITH HONESTY, INTEGRITY AND EXCELLENCE. This is our battle cry. We follow Jesus Christ as the head of the army of Evangelizers from BCBP.”
Our city chapter head, Catalino S. Genel is one with the President on this last paragraph and stands by it by heart. He would like to see this happening in the next years to come, even after his term, even by being mere member of the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals……TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
