A BLESSED & A HEALTHY 2014 TO THE BCBP FAMILY

by BCBP admin
A Blessed & A Healthy (body-mind-spirit) 2014 to the BCBP Family.
My personal advocacy is a balance lifestyle: body (30%), mind (30%), and spirit (40%).
The spirit is given more as ” we are made of spirit with a body” (Bishop Villegas- CatchFire
Rally, December 1,2013).For this article, I will talk on THE BODY for the male gender. Age 40 and above
The body matures at 40 years old…slower metabolism and faster weight conversion.
Food intakes easily converts to stored FAT. The male testosterone hormone is responsible for  the masculine attributes and features. This hormone drops 15% lower at age 40 while the female hormone, estrogen in low level, is maintained…..resulting to sagging boobs.MUSCLE TONING
I use a two 16.5 lbs. dumbbell (acquired in 1990 at age 40) for muscle toning….3 sets at 200 repetition per set on a daily basis.
The muscles experience fatigue resulting to firmness. No pain, No gain.

CARDIO EXERCISE
Thread mill – A good 30 minutes work out can be attained while watching a good DVD. I was able to complete 7 DVDs of Foot Print of God by Steve Ray for the year 2013. I intend to review the DVDs on CATHOLICISM by Rev, Baron for this year 2014.
Boxing – This is an extreme cardio workout…sweat all over from head to toes. Three loooong minutes and a minute of rest per round. I am now on my sixth session or 2 session per week since December 2013. My loving spouse, Beng, and my youngest daughter, Baba, gave me a size 14 boxing gloves as Christmas gift. It is advisable to have your personal gloves…the gym gloves smell baaaaaad with accumulated sweats.
Boxing is a good way of releasing the stresssssss and burning calories. More work = More regular exercise.

A HEALTHY BODY IS A HEALTHY BCBP MEMBER!

On my extreme left is my invited first timer and parish priest, Fr. Nathan, and in the middle is KO (knock out) gym owner, Nico. After the good work out, Fr. Nathan and I rewarded ourselves with a good ramen sea food at the nearby Japanese restaurant… carbo loading.
