LAS VEGAS—The Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP) Las Vegas Outreach is moving forward with its Arizona Mission as part of its strategic plan to become a chapter, with the full support and assistance of the BCBP Los Angeles Chapter.
The Arizona mission had been on the radar of BCBP Las Vegas Outreach from the outset. In March 2019, the Governance Team of BCBP Las Vegas traveled to Arizona to survey the area as part of a prospect mission. The team had exploratory talks with Fr. Jerome Cayetano, an assistant pastor of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Tempe, Arizona. He later introduced the group to Msgr. Peter Bui, Assistant to the Bishop of the Diocese of Phoenix. Target areas were identified and validated in coordination with Fr. Jerome. However, the implementation of the plan was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the BCBP West Region Meeting in Las Vegas on November 19, 2022, it was decided to hold the first breakfast in Arizona on February 4, 2023, a Saturday. This was further confirmed in a virtual discussion with all concerned team members from LA, Las Vegas, and Arizona.
We call on BCBP brothers and sisters in different parts of the globe: “Please let us know if you have any friends, family members, or relatives who live in Arizona, ideally in Chandler, Mesa, or Phoenix.” We will make an effort to contact them.
We are praying and seeking God’s guidance as we prepare for the massive tasks that lie ahead in this great undertaking. Please pray for the success of this prospective mission. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
