Figures and Landscapes, a week-long art exhibit up to April 15, 2015 was launched last April 9, 2015 at the Xavierville 3 Clubhouse, Katipunan, Quezon City as part of the fund-raising activities of the North Metro Manila Sector for BCBP’s 35th National Anniversary Celebration.
Art works featured in the exhibit includes those of famous Filipino Artists Federico Aguilar Alcuaz, Arturo Luz, Mauro “Malang” Santos, Angel Cacnio, Ramon Orlina, Norma Belleza, Jimmy Kwong, Ronald Castrillo and August Santiago.
The opening program started with the singing of the national anthem led by Jen and JP Serrano. Quezon City Chapter Head Mon Dizon delivered the Invocation while Past North Metro Manila Regional Council Director Luis Ferrer made the welcome remarks. Metro Manila Area Managing Director Jun Obra then spoke of the purpose of the exhibit and acknowledged the efforts of Dra. Alma Pilarta-Figueras & Bro. Bong Figueras of BCBP Novaliches-Capitol Outreach in spearheading the event together with NAC 35 Ways & Means Committee Chairman Jun Zafra, North Metro Manila Chapter Heads and Regional Council Director Chris Dy.
The ribbon cutting was led by Dr. Francisco Duque III , Civil Service Commission Chairman and former Department of Health Secretary together with Dr. Emmanuel Dagala, Dr. Elsie R. Dancel, Sis. Susan Ferrer and Dr. Mimosa M. Nicdao. Poolside cocktails followed with music provided by Bro. Bert Escario.
