The Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP) announces the appointment of Junephrey “Bro. Junep” Ocampo, former editor of Philippine Star, as the new managing editor of the BCBP Kapatiran magazine and website.
Bro. PV Beley, BCBP’s National Service Coordinator for Programs and Services, said Bro. Junep would take over the position of Sis. Nancy R. Catan, the founding editor of Kapatiran.
Sis. Nancy personally welcomed Bro. Junep to the BCBP National Office and introduced to him Kapatiran Editorial and Technical Support Assistant Kenneth Mandar.
Sis. Nancy also oriented Bro. Junep on the vision and mission of the Kapatiran magazine and website which is “information, inspiration, formation,” all aimed at inspiring BCBP members to live the BCBP Way of Life and to win the marketplace for Christ.
Bro. Junep said he is honored to be given the opportunity to share his expertise with the Brotherhood. He was with his wife Sis. Cel Cadahing Ocampo, also a former journalist and now an events specialist, when they met with Sis. Nancy.
“I know I have big shoes to fill but I’m sure Tita Nancy would always be here to guide our Editorial Team even in her retirement,” he said.
Bro. Junep is the president of RightMedia Public Relations, Inc., a PR firm specializing in corporate communications and events management. He was a full-time journalist for 17 years, starting as a sportswriter in the late 1980s and retiring as motoring editor of Philippine Star in 2004.
Bro. Junep is a member of the BCBP Calamba West chapter in Laguna.
The BCBP Kapatiran magazine began as a mimeographed newsletter in 1989. It eventually became a magazine in 1991 and a website in 2012. Aside from Sis. Nancy, Bro. Ronnie Caballero also served as the magazine’s editor for some time.

Hi Bro and Sis,
Good Day!
We wanted to change our Breakfast Venue for Nueva Vizcaya Outreach to different place. What is the procedure or formal requirement in doing so , so that it will be amended in our website here at Kapatiran?
Thanks and God Bless,
Darwin Lucena
