CHRISTMAS MESSAGE OF BCBP PRESIDENT MANNY JIMENEZ

CHRISTMAS GIVES US THE PEACE OF HIS PRESENCE

Jimenez, MannyMERRY CHRISTMAS, BROTHERS AND SISTERS!

Christmas may be the busiest and most stressful time of the year. Beating deadlines, driving around in the traffic, panic shopping.

But. amidst the busyness of the season, we prepare and await the coming of the Prince of PEACE, Jesus Christ – through our Advent recollections, Misa de Gallo and Christmas novenas.

It is in these preparations that we experience PEACE.

And so we become more generous in sharing our gifts with others. We are more forgiving, we have more patience when tempted to react negatively. It becomes easier to accept others and ourselves with humility, recognizing our individual strengths and limitations.

Peace comes to us in varying degrees as we serve the Lord through the BCBP, providing love and care, forgetting ourselves and thinking of others. Let us pray for greater peace in the world, in our country and in our hearts …allowing Our Lord, the Infant Jesus to enter. peace

It is in this spirit of peace and tranquility that I wish you all a most blessed Christmas. As we await His coming, may our hearts find rest in Him, who alone can give us the deep and abiding PEACE of His PRESENCE.

Brothers and Sisters, by His grace I will be moving on to another service next year. “Damo gid nga salamat sa inyo tanan” as we say in Ilonggo – thank you for your support and commitment to our BCBP way of life.

The past three years has been a joyful and learning experience serving The Lord and sharing our faith journey.

With the Mancom and the Board of Trustees, Reggie and my family join me in wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

May this Christmas and 2015 and beyond be filled with many blessings – PEACE, JOY AND LOVE.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

Manny Jimenez
National President
