SINGAPORE – With a walloping 48 attendees, the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP) Singapore Outreach recently held its 16th breakfast at the newly furbished Room 205 of the Bayanihan Centre, along Pasir Panjang Road.
Gracing the BCBP breakfast in Singapore were life-sharers Ralf and Doty Sabornido, who started in the Cebu North Chapter in 2009 and are now members of the Ortigas Chapter since 2012. Bro Ralf works for Linde Gas Asia while Sis Doty is a registered nurse who is currently a homemaker for the Sabornido household.
Their sharing focused on how joining the Brotherhood developed their character and improved their personal relationship with God.
Also in attendance were Bros Caloy Co and Bernard Dy of the mission team from the Philippines, who facilitated two formation talks for BCBP Singapore members: God’s Plan for your Business and Livelihood; and Building Our Businesses for God. Twenty-nine BCBP Singapore members attended the talks, which commenced after the breakfast.
“Why do we have troubles?” asked Bro Bernard during the formation sessions. “If we have no value, we are worthless to the enemy. But because of what we are doing now (as BCBP members), the enemy sees value in us. The enemy is now sending his generals to disturb us, trying to keep us off track,” he said.
