BCBP Time Is On Time

We, BCBP members never get tired of thinking up of ways to make our community stronger, better and more relevant to today’s demands not only with-in our community but also in our individual workplace, businesses and environment. We are all proud of our very own BE HONEST Campaign. Launched several years ago, it has gained popularity not only here in the Philippines but also where ever there is a BCBP in the US and Canada.

And now, in behalf of BOT/MANCOM – our COB Bro. Bong Pelaez and our NP Bro Manny Jimenez, I am honored to present to you our new slogan – “BCBP Time Is On Time”. So, why is being on time very important to all of us? Horace Mann, an American education reformer and politician says “Unfaithfulness in the keeping of an appointment is an act of clear dishonesty. you may as well borrow a person’s money as his time.” Benjamin Franklin says “You may delay, but time will not; William Shakespeare says “Better be 3 hours too soon than one minute late; and from 1 Peter 2:17 “Show proper respect to everyone.

Yes, being on time means you respect the time of others; you are being considerate. While being late makes one unreliable; it is a way of saying that our time is more valuable than the time of the persons who waited for us. It is also a sign of poor time management. Time management has always been a problem for most of us – it’s either we are guilty of keeping someone waiting or we are the ones who are waiting. But all these will come to an end with our brand new slogan – “BCBP Time Is On Time”. It will not be as easy as it may sound, but practice makes perfect. And before long, our activities will be more enjoyable, more vibrant as we have more time for fellowships. We will be better in what we do in our workplace as we become models for punctuality.

One churchgoer says ,”How will you strengthen your FAITH ,if you are always LATE.”

Brothers and sisters, I present to you now our new slogan: BCBP TIME IS ON TIME!

May i suggest that we sync our time from the National Level down to every chapter so we will not have different time and could not make excuses on being late.

The new BCBP advocacy launched in Iloilo City last April 2013 is a great and real timely one for of us in the Brotherhood. I suggest that each and every BCBP Chapter display the advocacy logo. But I also suggest that it shows a real clock and not just a drawing. Is there a plan to do this? If there is none, perhaps each chapter can just do it on its own. We can do this for our chapter, the BCBP Alabang Chapter, as long as we can provided with an image that we can enlarge without distortion and does not show the “clock” so that we can put in our own clock mechanism. Thank you and good bless!

Amen to the comment that “Difficult but doable.” Naga Chapter launched the BCBP Time is on Time advocacy on its May 4, 2013 breakfast meeting. Two (2) things have to be done to realize this advocacy, 1) include the tag line in all media of community communications and 2) walk the talk. There are no reasons why we can’t do it.

Truly an advocacy whose time has come. Difficult but doable, and a real challenge for us servant leaders! Success is assured as long as we walk the talk!
