BCBP youth pilgrims, youth ministers and adult pilgrims are invited to join the Youth Arise International (YAI) festival August 11-15 in Gibraltar and the World Youth Day (WYD) in Spain August 16-21, 2011. Our BCBP Makati sister Beth Ginete, executive director of YAI Philippines, is now accepting reservations for this Spirit-filled, fun-filled, memorable journey in faith. Since the WYD 1997 in France, YAI has closely worked with the World Youth Day organizers to hold its international festival immediately preceding the WYD to prepare youth pilgrims through prayer, formation, and fellowship.

The reports from BCBP youth pilgrims who have participated in the previous YAI/WYD festivals in Germany 2005 and Australia 2008 are unanimous in saying that it is a “once-in-a-lifetime”, awesome, faith-strengthening, friendship-building and Spirit-filled experience.

Youth Arise International is a Catholic Federation of international organizations with youth ministries dedicated, through the grace of our encounter with Christ, to raising a generation of leaders to be apostles of Charity in Truth for the mission of the Church. The YAI proclaims the Gospel to young people, promotes a strong Catholic identity through ongoing formation, discipleship and participation in the life of the Church while encouraging and equipping young people to respond to the call to “Go and make disciples of all nations”.

For details, please contact Beth Ginete, cp 0922-854-1957, email: beth@youtharise.org or youtharise@smartbro.net. You may also check out their website for updates on the YAI program, bands and speakers at www.youtharise.org or www.youtharise2011.com. Beth recommends that you register early to avail of early-bird discounts.

Hi Nancy, thanks so much for posting this. I would truly pray that a lot of our BCBP children or even our members may experience this 2-week one-of-a-kind spiritual experience! Our Catholic faith is so much alive!
