BCBP National Leaders will be undertaking a National Strategic Planning Retreat (NSPR) to prepare a five-year strategy for the BCBP Community in September 2010. This will be the 4th NSPR; one is held every five years.
In preparation for the September retreat, the BOT/ManCom led by its Chairman Bobby Atendido and President Larry Veloso, commissioned National Service Coordinator for Programs and Services Joey Avellana to undertake a series of research interventions designed to draw out feedback from our membership and operational leadership ranks.
Two research instruments were formulated: the first being a quantitative research questionnaire that was circulated at chapter and outreach levels and filled up by BCBP members in June, and the second being focus group discussions to be conducted at the area and regional levels.
From the nationwide distribution of the survey questionnaires, the total respondents were 2,698: North Luzon 672; South Luzon 809; Visayas 935; and, Mindanao 282. These results were encoded and tallied by the Research Team composed of Hermy Rodil (BCBP Alabang), Byang Habulan, and Beth Ginete (BCBP Makati). The survey inputs will be validated and thoroughly discussed in the Focus Group Discussions (FGD) led by their respective Area Managing Director (AMD) and Chapter Heads.

Saturday, July 31, South Luzon, Palms Country Club, Alabang – AMD Manny Jinenez, with the discussions facilitated by Joey Avellana and the Research Team.
Saturday, July 31, Visayas, Cebu – AMD Mayong Rodriguez , with discussions led by Manolet and Carla Siojo.
Sunday, August 1, North Luzon, St. Ignatius Village, Q.C. – AMD Lito Pardo, with discussions guided by Joey Avellana and the Research Team.
Saturday, August 7, Mindanao, Cagayan de Oro – AMD Jong Tiro, with discussion to be facilitated by Manolet and Carla Siojo.
The results of both researches will provide the preliminary work input for the NSPR to help our National Leaders plan the future directions and focus of the BCBP Community. The NSPR will be facilitated by Bro. Mike Joseph Jr. on Sept. 3-5, 2010, at Phinma, Tagaytay.
