To promote its Be Honest advocacy and to raise funds for victims of calamities, the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP) Southern Tagalog Region (STR) 1 is holding a Be Honest Run and Praise Jam on July 27 at The Grounds football field in Carmelray 1 Industrial Park, Canlubang, Calamba, Laguna.
BCBP Calamba and Calamba West chapters are co-hosting this event to be participated in by BCBP members from Los Baños Chapter, San Pablo Chapter, Santa Rosa Chapter, Biñan Chapter, Imus Chapter, General Trias Chapter, Santa Cruz Outreach, San Pedro Outreach, Carmona Outreach, Tagaytay-Silang Outreach, Cabuyao Mission, Makiling Mission, Nagcarlan Mission, Dasmarinas Mission, Amadeo Mission, and Tanza Mission.
This will be the seventh time the BCBP STR1 is holding a Be Honest Run, but this will be the first to be partnered with a Praise Jam and the first also to start at 4:00 in the afternoon and stretching till 10:00 pm
Bro. Edgar Ramilo, the Regional Council Director for BCBP STR1-A, said organizers are expecting to exceed last year’s Be Honest Run in Los Baños which attracted 1,200 participants.
“This event is open to all running enthusiasts and not exclusive to BCBP members,” he said, adding that those who are not into runnig may also participate by joining the Praise Jam which will be a mini-concert featuring songs of praise to God.
Gatordate and Fitline are supporting the event as Platinum Sponsors while Ultimate Cargo Mover Services and RightMedia Communications and Events Management are Silver Sponsors.
The Be Honest Run is divided into the following categories, with corresponding registration fees: 3k (P400), 5k (P500) and 10k (P600). All proceeds will go to the BCBP STR1 Calamity Fund that is donated to victims of natural or man-made calamities.
Those who want to join the Be Honest Run and Praise Jam can register through their respective chapters to be able to get the best size of their running t-shirts. For those who fail to register through BCBP chapters, on-site registration is available at the actual date of the run.
Those in Canlubang and nearby areas may also register at Mita’s Kitchen in Carmelray 1.
