Southern California’s West Covina Outreach marked a milestone when it launched the Men’s Breakfast in West Covina, California, USA on January 21, 2012. Headed by Bro. Edwin & Susie Dimaculangan, the West Covina is the first Outreach of Southern California after its installation as a full-fledged Chapter in 2010.
Bro. Leonardo “Dodong” Racaza shared his life testimony on “Keeping the Faith” during the breakfast. Coincidentally, the title fits the description of West Covina’s own journey as it is making a giant leap of faith at the start of this year.
Bro. Robert Carpio introduced the Sharer while Bro. Hermes Quijada gave the scriptural response. Bro. Arnold Sancover handled the pray-over. Bro. Ricky Archinas was the master of ceremony.
Bro. Dito de la Cerna , Chapter Head, and some of the members of the BCBP SOCAL attended this breakfast meeting. Likewise, the membership of WC Outreach along with some guests came to break bread and witness this important event.
Another milestone was marked when Southern California’s West Covina Outreach was formally installed during the Joint Breakfast Meeting at Max’s Restaurant in the City of Industry on Sunday, February 12, 2012.
SoCal Head Bro. Dito & Tata de la Cerna installed the members of the West Covina Governance Team as follows: Bro Edwin & Sis. Susie Dimaculangan, Outreach Head and Formation Director; Bro. Dodong & Chita Racaza, Mission Director; Bro. Ricky & Linda Archinas, Program Services Director; Bro. Arnold & Bel Sancover, Unit Leader; and Bro. Buddy & Joan Madamba, Treasurer.
The Outreach has all its activities lined up for this year and is geared to reach out by way of its Joint and Men’s Breakfasts and the Christian Life Program scheduled in September this year. It holds its Joint Breakfast every second Sunday of the Month at Max’s Restaurant in the City of Industry and Men’s Breakfast every third Saturday of the month in West Covina.
